Cross country

MY CROSS COUNTRY 

Yesterday at Clive school it was cross country. The 9 year olds and the 8 year olds and also the seniors walked down to Farndon park. When we got there we all sat down on the soft grass. Then a teacher clapped for us to be quiet. The cross country just was going to start. One of the teachers called out 8 year old girls. All the 8 year old girls walked up to the start line and did a few Star jumps and push ups. Then the teacher said on your marks get set go! The minute he said go all the 8 year old girls started running. A lot of people looked like they were trying hard to persevere in the cross country. Finally the 8 year old girls finished the cross country run. Cerys came 1st, Milly came  second and Oliver came 3rd. Next it was the boys 8 year old cross country. The teacher said on your marks get set go and off they went. They were pretty fast. After they were finished every one was cheering. Then he called the 9 year old girls up for their cross country. We all walked up to the start line. I felt a bit nervous. We did a few leg stretches before we started running then he said on your marks get set go! Off we all went running. It was a long run. Soon I ran past Ms Petherick Soon our cross country was finished. I came 5th. The 9 year olds needed to run longer than the 8 year olds. Then it was the 9 year old boys turn to race. Then the teacher said on your marks get set go! They were really fast. Soon they were finished. Patrick in room 4 came fourth. Wilbur came 9th. Arama came 10th. Then it was the seniors turn. They were really good at running. I think everyone did a good job of their running. The seniors did quite a good job when they were running because they had to run quite a lot. After that we walked back to school.
